With a little help, you can still look your best even if you are running on less than a full night.

We all know that too much fat, sugar and salt are not good for us. Staying up late and being sedentary are also unbeneficial to our wellbeing. As long as you are getting a good night’s sleep, sticking to a healthy diet and exercise program and using nontoxic skincare and cosmetic products you are doing what is right. Right?
Believe it or not you can get too much of a good thing and we may be overdoing it without even realizing it. Most of us use too many beauty products. Not only that, but we tend to use too much of each product at one time.
Only a handful of safe and effective items are really needed in our beauty arsenal to keep our skin happy and healthy. A nontoxic cleanser, toner, one good moisturizer for the season, an eye cream you can use in the morning and at night and a product for exfoliating your skin. Pair these items up with mineral makeup and blush, nontoxic mascara and your favorite lip color and you are good to go most days.

Using nontoxic organic beauty products should be a no-brainer by now, as we all know that what you put on is as important as what you put in. Today you can effectively swap out any conventionally produced, toxin-laden products you may be using for a safer version that looks and acts just like its synthetic loaded counter-part.
Yet, many still opt for simpler skincare and go homemade. While this is an easy and cost-effective route, there are certain products that need to be created, manufactured and packaged by professionals to provide the results and safety we all want and need. Whipping up an exfoliant or cleanser is achievable and even fun. Hair products and makeup are a completely different ballgame.
While I have never much been much of a diyer when it comes to skin and hair care, I have added a few home brewed concoctions that are very useful and enjoyable. The following list comes from my trials (and errors) in the kitchen while whipping up homemade beauty products. All ingredients are organic where available.
